We are happy to present you Beta version of Carbonized ConceptDraw 1.6. This version works with and compliments Mac OS X, taking full advantage of the Carbon APIs in Mac OS, and its other powerful features, like enhanced memory management and multitasking.
We are very excited about being in the front lines of developers bringing their products to MacOS X, and take pride in providing MacOS X adopters with a comprehensive and convenient tool for their everyday work.

WHAT'S NEW IN THIS VERSION:

In the new version, you'll see the following changes under MacOS X:
- Aqua look & feel: translucent menus, new dialogs and toolbar buttons.
- New Navigation Services - ConceptDraw now remembers recent files and folders & allows drag & Drop for the file dialogs. Also, you can select more than one file to open, which is especially handy for libraries.
- Help Balloons replaced with tags.
- You'll find the new version work faster on opening large documents, and with a number of documents at a time. This became possible due to the optimized memory management introduced in MacOS X.
- All printing settings are now saved together with the document, so there's no need to reconfigure these settings after opening a saved document.
However, please note that MacOs X is only in a beta form so far, so we can't guarantee that ConceptDraw should work smoothly all the time, though it should in most cases. We are working on the program all the time to make it better.

KNOWN PROBLEMS IN THE BETA VERSION:

Known or probable problems so far:
- Possible printing problems, because many printer drivers are not fully MacOS X compatible so far.
- You may notice some redraw problems when carrying objects.
- Drag and Drop may not always work correctly.
We encourage you send your reports, comments and suggestions to our technical support - it will help us inmensely to prepare a stable and neat final version.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

ConceptDraw 1.6 Beta requires Mac OS X or Mac OS 8.6 or later with CarbonLib 1.0.4. To install ConceptDraw 1.6, download the update, unpack the executable file and drop it to the ConceptDraw folder. We strongly recommend to backup your current copy of ConceptDraw prior to replacing the file!
When you run ConceptDraw on Mac OS X first time, you will be asked to enter the serial number. If you run ConceptDraw on Mac OS 9 and get a message like "CarbonLib is not found", put the file CarbonLib shipped with ConceptDraw 1.6 Beta to folder "System Folder:Extentions" on your start up disk and reboot the computer.
If you expirience any problems running ConceptDraw 1.6 Beta, please, let us know as soon as possible.
